What is MonLasol?
MonLasol offers personalized online correspondence correction lessons
in solfège and harmony, based on the French tradition.
The term “Solfège” comes from the notes of the scale:
“Do Re Mi Fa Sol La Si Do,” specifically “Sol” and “Fa.”
The name “MonLasol” combines “La” and “Sol”—the notes just above “Sol” and “Fa”—
along with the French word “Mon,” meaning “my.”
This name reflects our commitment to supporting each individual’s musical growth.
What you can achieve
through Solfège and Harmony lessons:
Strengthen your auditory skills, including absolute pitch
Improve your instrument playing or singing
Imagine and express the ideal sound from a musical score
Transcribe your musical ideas into written form
Deepen your understanding of music and come closer to the composer’s intentions
Reduce the time needed to master a piece of music
Why the French Method?
Because it is more practical and useful in real musical activities.
France has a strong tradition of music theory education, including solfège and harmony (écriture), which goes beyond mechanical training and focuses on practical education using real musical works.
* Écriture
A composition technique that includes harmony, counterpoint (melody and its combinations), and orchestration (effective distribution and linking of instruments).
